Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects of TACE combined with immune therapy on transplanted liver neoplasm in rats.Materials and Methods: Forty SD rats bearing transplanted Walker-256 liver cancer were randomly grouped (10 rats each group) and treated by normal saline as control (G1), or injection of saline via hepatic artery, and 1-MT via stomach (G3), or TACE alone (G2), or TACE combined with 1-MT (G4). (TACE meant administration of 5-FU 5mg/kg + lipiodol emulsion 0.5ml/kg, injection meant 1-MT 20mg/kg.d×10d via stomach, control group was injected into 0.5ml saline alone.) The therapeutic effects were observed including analysis of changes of tumors'volume, eproportion of tumors'necrosis, growth rates, the expression of indoleamine2,3-dioxygenase, IDO in tumors'issue by RT-PCR and the changes of the blood routine and liver function after the operation. The distribution of CD4+, CD8+ in rats'peripheral blood were also detected with flow cytometry.Results:①The 10th day after treatment, the tumor growth rate (GR) of G4 was significantly lower than that of G1~G3(P<0.05);and the G3 lower than G2,G1;There is no significance of difference between G2 and G1. The tumor growth inhibiton of G4 was significantly higher than G1~G3 (P<0.05), and the G3 lower than G2, G1, and G2 lower than G1.②The necrosis of G4 was significantly more extensive than those of G1~G3 (P<0.05), G3 is lower than G2, G1. However there is no significance of difference between G2 and G1.③The CD3+ CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ ratio in peripheral blood of four groups:G1
