Coronary artery disease is one of the three diseases that are harmful to human health, which and cerebrovascular disease have become frequent occurring disease and the cause of death for elderly people. Coronary artery disease is a common disease with high morbidity, mortality and high levels of disability among survivors, and how to effectively prevent and treat this disease, reduce the morbidity, disability rate and mortality, have been one of the hot topics that scholars actively explore on around the world. Atherosclerosis (atherosclerosis,AS) is a systemic disease, and about 99% of coronary artery disease cases have coronary arteriesarteriosclerosis (CAAS) change, So It's very important to the prevention of coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease that effectual prevent-treatment and the diagnosis of atherosclerosis diseases.Renin-angiotensin system(RAS) has complex relation to the development of angiocardiopathy. In recent years, some new RAS members:angiotensin-converting e-nzyme 2 (ACE2), angiotensin-(1-7) [Ang-(1-7)] and their receptor MAS constitute a newer RAS branch: ACE2-Ang-(1-7)-MAS axis. It antagonizes the promotion of a-therosclerosis effects of ACE-Angâ…¡-ATl axis. Thereby, we hypothesized that the balance between them may influence the formation of atherosclerosis. So balancing RAS provide new strategy for the treatment of coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease.
