| Objective:Compare the differences of hippocampus by 1H-MRS bettween patients with NIDDM and healthy person group, and discuss the changes and clinical significances of metabolin on hippocampus.Methods:30 patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and the healthy people ( 30 cases) were detected by 1.5T MRI and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1H-MRS)was applied to explore the metabolic index on hippocampus and then count their ratio and assessed with statistical analysis, The bilateral hippocampus are calculated by Partial lateral sex formula: (right—left)/[(right+left)/2]×100%,Turn left when said is true,Turn right Negative says。Differences were statistically significant while P<0.05. Results:Mean values of NAA/Cr on the left and right in NIDDM group are(1.17±0.12),(1.21±0.11);Mean values on Cho/Cr of the left and right in NIDDM group are(1.36±0.20),(1.23±0.16);Mean values on NAA/Cr on the left and right in HC group are(1.26±0. 18),(1.32±0.19);Mean values of Cho/Cr on the left and right in HC group are(1.07±0.12),(0.97±0.14); NAA/Cr in bilateral hippocampus decreased in NIDDM patients While Left is obvious(P<0.05); Cho/Cr in bilateral hippocampus increased in NIDDM patients;Conclusion:1,With the pathological changes development, the hippocampus metabolic function has some changes, The main upshot of changes is the changes of content, and these changes are the reflection of pathological course of neuron necrosis on hippocampus and cell membrane disintegration.2,1H-MRS is more sensitive than any other examination techniques on hippocampus,it has preferable maneuverability and repeatability,it is the only examination techniques in vivo to study the metabolism and the pathological changes from the level of molecules.3,1H-MRS could reflect varieties of hippocampal metabolites in NIDDM non-invasive and provide objective basis for diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction of NIDDM. |
