| Objective:To search for new antitumor active leading compounds from marine microorganism. Method:A marine microorganism, Aspergillus terreus, is cultured and upscaled in artificial seawater medium, the corresponding metabolites are isolated and elucidated by using modern spectroscopy techniques. Result:sixteen compounds were yielded from ethyl acetate extraction of Aspergillus terreus mycelium and five compounds are isolated from ethyl acetate extraction of culturing solution. Conclusion:Compounds 1-4 are steroids, compounds 5~8 are organic acids and esters, compound 9 is one alkaloid, compound 10 is one coumarin, compound 11~13 are new compounds, compound 14 is ceramide, compounds 15~16 are butyrolactones, the latter is one new compound, compound 17 is propenyl cyclic pentanediol, compounds 18~21 are cyclic lipopeptides.Marine microorganism Aspergillus terreus (A8-4) are screened and purified from marine sediments collected at nature reserve region in Guangxi It was identified by molecular biology and colony morphology.
