The Study Of The Special Processing Technology And Quality Control Of A Qiang Medicine, A. Pendulum.

A. pendulum, commonly used Qiang medicine, is the radices of A. pendulum Busch., and A. flavum Hand.-Mazz., which has effects of expelling wind and moist, and relieving pains, and is widely used to treat wounds, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. However, with intense toxicity, it should be processed before use, and the standard of qiang processing technology is not complete, and the report about the quality standard of A. pendulum is poverty.Objective:Ethnomedicine methods are used to investigate the usage of A. pendulum, the study about the chemical,efficacy and toxicity of A. pendulum is carried out in respect of ethnic use of A pendulum.The qiang processing technology has been completed and the quality standard of A. pendulum has been established.Method:1.Ethnomedicine methods are used to investigate the resources,distribution,usage experience and process method of A. pendulum.2.To compare the compositions and contents of alkaloids between raw materials and different processed A. pendulum by RP-HPLC;3.To evaluate the toxicity of raw materials and different processed products through cardiac toxicity tests,;4. To investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of different processed A. pendulum.5. Criteria the qiang processing technology and establish the quality standard of A. pendulum.6. Silica gel column chromatography and preparation of TLC were used to study the chemical composition of processed A. pendulum.Result:1.A. pendulum is the radices of A. pendulum Busch. and A. flavum Hand.-Mazz., which has effects of expelling wind and moist, and relieving pains, and is widely used to treat wounds, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Qiang processing method of A. pendulum is sand speculation law.2.The compositions and contents of alkaloids conspicuously changed before and after processing, but the composition and contents are similar among different processed A. pendulum.3.The raw materials is extremely toxic, but the processed A. pendulum. are much safer.4.Different processed A. pendulum. are all have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.5.The complete processing method is as follows:cut A. pendulum. into 1-2cm segment, and use fried drug machine to heat the temperature around 200℃with clean river sand, heat A. pendulum. under medium speed before the surface turned brown and the inner core turned yellow.6.Both the raw materials and the processed quality standard have been established.7.5Compounds were isolated from processed A. pendulum:β-sitosterol,Benzoylaconine and 2 unknown compounds.Conclusive:1. Qiang processing method of A. pendulu is sand speculation law. The analysis of chemical,efficacy and toxicity experiment shows that raw materials and processed A. pendulum are much different, it indicated that the qiang processing method can decrease the toxic while maintain the efficacy of A. pendulum.2. This paper has complete the qiang processing of A. pendulum., it can provide some guidance in the future processing work.3. Both the raw materials and processed A. pendulum quality standard can insure the safety,effective and controlable in the future use of A. pendulum.
