| Objective: Mesuare cerebrospinal fluid protein S100, protein tau, protein 14-3-3 levels in acute exacerbation of RRMS .Measuare serum protein S100,protein tau, protein 14-3-3 levels before and behind glucocorticoid therapy. Analyse the correlation between the three protein markers and RRMS activity, duration of the disease,IgG index, disability degree, volumen of MRI lesion.Method:We included 17 patients that were diagnosed according to the McDonald's criteria. The control group was made up of 11 patients that had no signs or symptoms related to the central nervous system lesion correlated with the patient group.CSF and serum S100, tau, 14-3-3 were measured by ELISA method based on the sandwich method. Spearman correlation coefficient to correlate the three protein levels with RRMS activity, duration of the disease,IgG index, Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) value, volumen of MRI lesion.Result: The median CSF tau leve(l0.1075±0.0845)pg/ml is higher than the controls(0.0984±0.0189)pg/ml(P=0.023). The differences of CSF S100,14-3-3 levels and serum tau, S100,14-3-3 levels between RRMS and control were found not to be statistically insignifican(tP﹥0.05). RRMS CSF S100 ,14-3-3 level, and RRMS serum tau, S100,14-3-3 levels, did not significantly correlate with the clinical features– activity, duration, EDSS, IgG index, volumen of MRI lesion(P﹥0.05).Conclusion: In early stage of RRMS acute exacerbation, high CSF tau proetein leve measured by ELISA assay may be an marker of axonal damage.CSF and serum levels of tau,S100,14-3-3 protein correlated not significantly with IgG index, EDSS score,Disease duration and volumen of MRI lesion of RRMS patients... |
