Development And Evaluation About PRO Scale Of Arthritis Disease

ObjectivObjective:According to the principle and processes of PRO scale which is made by U.S. Foodand Drug Administration (FDA), the testing of the scale was based on taking patients feel as thecenter, and formulated the scale of PRO that would be used for the curative effect appraise ofarthritis disease. Through the large number of clinical investigation and research, revision andevaluation of the scale reliability, validity, and amend it to form the final scale, to make it morewidely used in clinical evaluation.Methods:According to specifications of PRO scale,combining with the theoretical knowledgeof arthritis disease,the item pool is formed through consulting references and inquiring thepatient. Then, the established item pool can be revised or removed by experts, who can alsomake some language modifications to make it a raw scale. We have carried out a pilot survey byhanding out a number of questionnaires to three selected hospitals located in TaiYuan, andrecycle 178 valid questionnaires at Outpatient Clinic and 144 copies before the treatment andafter, separately, By adopting variation coefficient method , the item analysis, item responsetheory, factor analysis, correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and test-retestreliability, 45 indicators have been filtered out to form a formal scale, which will be appraisedfrom the reliability, validity and responsibillity evaluation.Result:The Arthritis Disease PRO Scale was mainly composed of 4 domains, 12 facters and 45items. The Cronbach,sαcoefficient about the scale is 0.884, the physiology function domainis 0.904, the psychology function domain is 0.808, the social function domain is 0.648 and thetreatment experience function is 0.754. The Split-half coefficient about the scale is 0.941, thefour domains is followed by 0.909, 0.883, 0.851and 0.786. About dimensions correlations, in thephysiology function domain there are 18 items, of which 15 items in the correlation coefficientare greater than 0.50. In the psychology function domain of 7 items, 5 items in the correlationcoefficient are above 0.70. The items of social function domain 8 items, 5 items in thecorrelation coefficient are above 0.50. The items of treatment experience function domain 12items, 9 items in the correlation coefficient are above 0.50, The correlation coefficients betweenscale score in all domains and the total score were 0.856, 0.710, 0.673 and 0.358. About contractvalidity, except for CFI of physiological function field is 0.860, CFI of other fields are largerthan 0.90, whole model fitting is good . About responsibility, In addition to skin surfacesymptoms and energy of physiology function domain, self-confidence of psychology function domain, social relations and social activities of social function domain and social functiondomain, observation object hasn't statistical significance before and after therapy, other aspectsand domains are statistically significance.Concluions:The Arth-PRO scale has good reliability and validity and responsibility.
