| Objective:To evaluate the relationship with the cell adhesion molecule and Th1/Th2 cell polarity imbalance and the correlation with the clinical of the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods:The Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method detected 32 cases of RA patients and 25 cases of healthy control ones in the sICAM-1,the sVCAM-1,the cytokine IFN-γsecreted by Th1 cells and the cytokine IL-10 secreted by Th2 cells in the peripheral blood, and used the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-10 directly reflect the polar imbalance state of Th1/Th2, and compared with the differences, and to analysis on the relationship with the cell adhesion molecule and Th1/Th2 cell polarity imbalance and the correlation with the disease activity in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis.Results:(1) the levels of sICAM-1, sVCAM-1and IFN-γin the RA activities group were significantly higher than which in the stable group and the healthy control group, while the levels of IL-10 was significantly lower than the stable group and the healthy control group, the results have statistically significant difference (P<0.05);(2) the levels of sICAM-1, sVCAM-1,IFN-γand IL-10 have no significantly difference between the RA stable group and the healthy control group (P>0.05);(3) the levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 have significant correlation with the levels of IFN-γ,IL-10 in the RA active group (P<0.05);(4) the levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 have some correlation with the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-10 in the RA active group (P<0.05);(5) the levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 have some correlation with the DAS28 in the RA active group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 and IFN-γin the RA group were higher than which in the the healthy control group, while the IL-10 levels lower than which in the the healthy control group, and the results both had significantly difference. The results showed that it existed the higher expression of adhesion molecule and the apparent Th1/Th2 cell imbalance in the body of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and also found that secretion patterns shift towards Th1 cells,Th1-type cytokines showed a relatively advantage, which compared with Th2-type cytokines. As for CAMs has played an important role in inflammatory exudate cells, localization and regulation of immune responses, which can interpretate to the pathological features of erosion damage of arthritis and joint response in RA patients and can also prove the importance of immune homeostasis in the pathogenesis of RA. Thus,we can speculate that there is a certain correlation with CAMs and Th1/Th2 cell imbalance, and to participate in the pathogenesis of RA together. In the future ,we can work through monitoring to the levels of sICAM-1 and (or) sVCAM-1 in the serum in order to assessing disease activity, and can be used as an indicator to determine the severity of the disease, and provide a new way of thinking in the treatment of RA in the direction in the field of rheumatology. |
