Expression And Significance Of Leukemia Inhibitory Factor In Placenta Of Patients With Preeclampsia

Objective: To study the change of the leukemia inhibitory factor in placenta of patients with preeclampsia, and to explore the pathogenesis of preeclampsia .Methods: Select 45 patients with Preeclampsia,which including mild preeclampsia group and severe preeclampsia group and 20 normal pregnant women as study group and control group,which are collected form Aug 2009 to Apr 2010 in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,First Clinical Medical college,Shanxi Medical University. Immunohistochemial technique was used to determine the intensity and location of LIF in placenta of the three group,and through BI2000 medical image analysis system on the staining.Result: (1) LIF was expressed in all three groups, and mainly expressed in the trophoblast cell cytoplasm. (2) LIF in normal pregnancy, mild preeclampsia group and severe group, the average optical density values were: 0.34895±0.044985,0.24075±0.062463,0.24024±0.032536,Mild preeclampsia group compared with normal pregnancy, placental LIF expression was significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05); severe group compared with normal pregnancy, placental LIF expression was significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05) ;Mild preeclampsia group and severe group, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), However, with the aggravation, LIF expression in a downward trend.Conclusion: (1) LIF was expressed in all three groups, and mainly expressed in the trophoblast cell cytoplasm. (2) Low expression of LIF in the placenta may be one of the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.
