Measurement Of Femoral Neck Anteversion And Its Clinical Significance In The Total Hip Arthroplasty

Subject: To measure the FNA(femoral neck ante-version) of normal Chinese by CT method, and give some valuable reference to THA(total hip arthroplasty)and the diagnosis and treatment of hip disease and prosthesis design for Chinese.Method: Collect and measure 100 normal native people'data of total lower limbs CT scan,including 200 hips of 50 males and 50 females. To choose some special pictures which we need and handle them by Picasa 3,and measure the FNA on the handled pictures. To compute the mean of all 100 people, the male and the female'FNA separately.Result: The mean of all 100 people'FNA is 18.50。±6.42。,and the male's and the female's mean are 19.07。±6.94。and 17.93。±6.34。.The mean FNA of our experiment is bigger than 15。which is used in the THA.The male's is bigger than female's. Furthermore, some people'FNA is obviously small or bigger than the mean.Conclusion: According to our experiment and some others,the mean of FNA measured by different methods and different people is different. The male's FNA is bigger than female's. Some people'FNA is obviously smaller or bigger than the mean. So we must measure and estimate the patients'FNA before the operation, especially for the patients whose FNA is obviously smaller or bigger than the mean.If the FNA of femoral prosthesis is more accurate,the patient'operational effect will be more satisfied.
