Objective:Lung cancer has become the leading cause of death in most countries, rather than non-small cell lung cancer accounts for about 80% in all lung cancer cases, which is currently the greatest threat to human health and life in the malignant tumors. Annexin-1,is the first member which was found in annexin superfamily, and it is closely related with anti-inflammatory response, cell differentiation and proliferation, regulation of cell death signaling, apoptosis, phagocytic clearance, and many other cellular activities. Recent studies also show that, ANXA1 expression is also closely related with tumor disorders, development, transfer and multi-drug resistance. Research has shown that, ANXAI may be an indicator for early diagnosis of cancer, ANXAI expression occurred before malignant transformation in the organization. Animal models of liver cancer, ANXAI expression was significantly higher before the cancer, and which is earlier than AFP (alpha fetoprotein) elevation. Therefore, this experiment intends to use the Q-RT-PCR method to detect the expression of ANXA1 in non-small cell lung cancer and further discusses the expression rules and the meaning of occurrence, development and prognosis in NSCLC.Methods:GAPDH was used as an endogenous control. Expression of ANXA1 mRNA including tumor tissue and normal tissue adjacent to tumor border (>5cm) was detected in 81 specimens from patients who had undergone surgery between the June of 2010 and the December of 2010 in First People's Hospital of Yunnan Provinceby using real time fluorescence quantitative PCR. Results:Expression of ANXA1 was significantly lower in lung cancer than in normal tissues (P< 0.01). Lower levels expression of ANXA1 was seen in lymph node metastases group (P<0.01) and was associated with tumor TNM stage (P<0.05) differentiated degree (P<0.05)and invasive depth (P<0.01). There is no difference among the sex, age, smoking, pathology typing and tumor size.Conclusion:ANXA1 mRNA in non-small cell lung cancer tumor tissue cells express level obviously reduced, which is related with pathological differentiation degree, chinical staging and lymph node metastasis; but it has nothing to do with pathology classification. ANXA1 is a good indicator to evaluate the occurrence of lung cancer.
