| Objective :To study the relationship between the changes of the levels of soluble Fas (sFas) and soluble Fas-ligand (sFasL) in acute cerebral infarction and the severity of cerebral infarction. Methods :Sixty cases of acute ischemic stroke patients(male 32, female 28) were served as the experimental group and 30 cases of the healthy volunteers (male 22, female 18) as the control group ,respectively. The serum levels of soluble Fas and soluble Fas-ligand were measured in both groups by the method of ELISA and the difference in the levels of soluble Fas and soluble Fas-ligand were compared between the two groups. Results :The serum levels of sFas / sFasL ,after the different time 48h,7d,14d course of ACI were (6.27±1.48, 4.40±1.32),(4.99±1.15, 3.19±0.94),(3.74±0.58, 1.91±0.45)and they were all significantly higher than the control group(3.00±0.38, 1.15±0.21),P<0.05. There were positively correlated among the levels after the time 48h of sFas / sFasL 4.71±0.69,6.94±0.67,8.06±0.11/3.03±0.52,4.94±0.53,6.07±0.88 and the degrees of neurological deficits. There were also positively correlated between the levels of sFas / sFasL and the area of cerebral infarction, but there were no significant differences between the group of white matter infarction and the gray matter infarction groups ,we also found that, there were positively correlated between the levels of sFas and sFasL(r = 0.748, P <0.01).Conclusion :The soluble Fas and soluble Fas-ligand probably take roles in the pathophysiological process of cerebral infarction, and the occurrence of cerebral infarction is closely related to the soluble Fas and soluble Fas-ligand。The soluble Fas and soluble Fas-ligand level measured by ELISA have some values for evaluate the severity of disease. |
