Objective: To enhance the clinical understanding of relative risks of uremia patient through the research to its death cause and the risk factor so that to adopt in-time counter-measure and improve patient outcome.Method: To retrospectively analyze 200 cases of uremia inpatients and outpatients during 2001 to 2010 of our hospital. By taking dead patients as research group (n=100) and survived patients as contrast group (n=100), we analyze and research the cause of death, frequency of hemodialysis, prealbumin, albumin, natremia and pulmonary infection.Result: Age and gender have nothing to do with the death of uremia patient. The most common cause of death is cardiovascular disease which is followed by espiratory failure, uremic encephalopathy , cerebral hemorrhage, gastrointestinal hemorrhage,et.al. Hemodialysis frequency, prealbumin, albumin and natremia of dead patients are obviously lower than that of contrast group. Dead patients are more likely suffered from pulmonary infection. Logistic multivariate analysis: 44% death risk will be increased while reducing 1 time per week of hemodialysis; 54.7% death risk will be increased while reducing 50mg/L of prealbumin; 21.5% death risk will be increased while reducing 5mmol/L of natremia.;Death risk of patients with pulmonary infection increased to 17.66 times of patients without pulmonary infection. Conclusion: Cardiovascular disease , espiratory failure , uremic encephalopathy , cerebral hemorrhage, gastrointestinal hemorrhage are common causes of death. Hemodialysis frequency, prealbumin, hyponatremia and pulmonary infection can be taken as risk factors for death of uremia patient.
