Objective:Our aim was to investigate the risk factors of Initial recurrence after sixty hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),offer a guidance for clinically adopting prevention and treatment of HCC recurrences. Methods:Retrospective analysis of 60 cases of Primary liver cancer patients in the first affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medical University, from January1,2007~ Decembe31,2009 , according to recurrence during follow-up,were divided into the recurrent group (n=43) and non-recurrent group (n=17).Clinical data were analyzed by multivariate analysis,to study the factors related to HCC recurrence, and identify risk factors of recurrence. Results:Logistic univariate analysis showed that tumor diameter, operative blood loss, postoperative combined therapy, the three factors affect prognosis , the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Mul-tivariate analysis showed that tumor size and postoperative therapy, two factors impact on prognosis, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Univariate survival analysis using the Kaplan-Meier method, Log-rank test in parallel. In which the tumor diameter, operative blood loss, liver function classification, postoperative combined therapy, the four factors affect prognosis , the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05),multivariate survival analysis using Cox regression model,In which the tumor diameter, liver function classification, the two factors affect survival, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Diameter of tumor was the high risk factors of HCC recurrence, liver function classification, blood loss, postoperative combined therapy were the major factors in HCC recurrence.
