| Objective:To study the value of detecting the carotid intima media thickness (C-IMT) and buffering function, including cross-sectional compliance (CSC), volumic diatansibility (VD), arterial stiffness index (ASI), in children with Kawasaki disease in acute stage and long-term stage with high-frequency ultrasonography. Detecting left ventricular myocardial Peak Systolic Velocities (Vs) and Peak displacement velocity (Ds) by Tissue Doppler Imaging. Quantitative Tissue Velocity Imaging (QTVI) and Tissue Tracking Imaging (TTI), to estimate whole and regional left ventricular longitudinal systolic function in children with Kawasaki disease in acute stage and long-term.Methods:â‘ 50 patients received ultrasonography, including 15 patients with Kawasaki disease in acute stage (acute stage group), 18 patients with Kawasaki disease in long-term (long-term group) and 17 normal children (control group).â‘¡68 patients received QTVI and TTI, including 30 patients with Kawasaki disease in acute stage (acute stage group), 18 patients with Kawasaki disease in long-term (long-term group) and 20 normal children (control group). Results:â‘ C-IMT and ASI of acute stage group and long-term group were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05), VD of acute stage group and long-term group was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05), CSC of long-term group was lower than control group and acute stage, but there is no significant difference between acute stage group and control group. C-IMT negatively correlated with VD (r=ï¹£0.301, P=0.034), and positively correlated with ASI (r=0.289,P=0.042).â‘¡The average Vs of acute stage group were significantly lower than that of long-term group and control group in mitral annulus section, fundus section and middle section(P<0.05), The average Vs of long-term group were significantly lower than that of control group in mitral annulus section and middle section(P<0.05), The average Ds of acute stage group were significantly lower than that of long-term group and control group in mitral annulus section, fundus section and middle section(P<0.05), The average Ds of long-term group were significantly lower than that of control group in mitral annulus section and fundus section(P<0.05). Conclusion:There were increased C-IMT, abnormal Buffering Function and left ventricular myocardial function in the acute stage and long-term of Kawasaki disease. C-IMT correlated with buffering function, it indicate that children with Kawasaki disease got a tendency of premature artherosclerosis. It is feasible to detect the change of arteria carotis communis anterior with high-frequency ultrasonography. It indicate that children with Kawasaki disease needed medicine of protect myocard. It is feasible to detect the change of left ventricular longitudinal systolic function with QTVI and TTI. |
