The Anti-inflammmatory Activities Of Uygher Traditional Medicine Ocimumbasilicum L. And Theaction Of Mechanism

Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammmatory activities of Uygher traditional medicine Ocimum basilicum L.(OBL) Extracts and the action of possible mechanism. Methods:The anti-inflammatory effects of OBL extraction was observed by adapts Xylene induced mouse ear edema model,mouse pow swollen induced by carrageenon and using the modal of mouse granulation and acute pleuritis model was induced by injecting carrageenan into pleural cavity.Results:Compared with the positive contrast,theOBL ethyl acetate extractions have a signifocantly good effect to decrease the Xylene induced mouse ear edema (p<0.01). Compared with the control group, mouse pow swollen induced by carrageenan and the model of mouse granulation were decreased significantly (p<0.001). As compared with the model group, in OBL diffirent extracts group the pleurorrhea contents of TNF-a and protein(p<0.001, p<0.05) and PGE2, IL-8 in serum reduced markedly (p<0.001).Conclusion:OBL diffirent extracts show a marked inhibitive effect on anti-inflammatory. Their anti-inflammation effects may be related to inhibiting the increase of TNF-a, PGE2, IL-8.
