| Objective:To compare the result of laparoscopic and open resection for gastric stromal tumors. Methods:A total of 55 patients(male 28,female 27,aged 17~83 years, mean age 58.1 years)with gastric stromal tumors from May 2006 to January 2011 were divided into 2 groups:laparoscopy group and open resection group. The operation security, postoperative recovery and follow-up results of these patients were compared. Retrospective analyses clinical and pathology data and contrast operation safety, postoperative recovery and follow-up consequence. Results:There were 35 patients performed laparoscopic resection,20 patients treated by open resection. In both groups no severe complications and death case were found. The operation time, the blood loss, the first day drainage discharge after operation of laparoscopy group was markedly less than open resection group;exhaust time and length of hospital stay after operation in laparoscopy group were significantly which were shorter than those in open resection group(P<0.05). Drainage tube drainage time and foodintake time after operation of 2 groups had no significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:Laparoscopic resection of gastric stromal tumors could be performed safely and effectively with the advantage of minimal invasiveness. |
