| ObjectiveTo study the expression of CXCR4,HSP70 and FHIT in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus and assay for their roles in the development of squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus as well as their clinical significance in knubbly invasiveness.MethodImmunohistochemical methods(PV-9000/9001 two-step method) were used to analyze the protein expressions of CXCR4,HSP70 and FHIT in paraffin embedded tissues from 50 cases squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus which were confirmed by pathology and 20 cases nomal nasal mucous membrane.Use Image-Pro Plus software to determine the Mean Optical Density(MOD) of immunohistochemical Images. Then use SPSS13.0 statistical analysis software to assay for their roles in the development of squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus as well as their clinical significance in knubbly invasiveness.Results(1)The positive rate of CXCR4 and HSP70 protein in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus tissues were 74.0%and 66.0%respectively,were significantly higher than their control groups(40.0%,15.0%),the differences were significant (P<0.05). (2)The positive rate of FHIT in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus tissues was 50.0%,was significantly lower than its control group (80.0%),the difference was significant (P<0.05).(3)The expression of CXCR4,HSP70 and FHIT protein in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus presented by claybank or chocolatebrown, mainly in cytolymph, and a small part of cell membrane and nucleus were expressioned.(4)The expression of CXCR4 have no relation with age,sex and cancer clinical stage of the patients but with differentiation(P<0.05);HSP70 have no relation with age,sex and differentiation of the patients but with cancer clinical stage(P<0.05);and FHIT have no relation with all(P>0.05).(5)The expression of CXCR4,HSP70 and FHIT in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus have no correlation with each other(r=0.167,0.004,0.135,P>0.05).Conclusion1.The high expression of CXCR4 in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus tissues which have no relation with age,sex and cancer clinical stage of the patients but with differentiation suggesting that it may be closely relate to the occurrence and differentiation of the carcinoma .2.The expression of HSP70 in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus tissues which have no relation with age,sex and differentiation of the patients but with cancer clinical stage suggesting that it may play an important role in the occurrence, development and knubbly invasiveness of the carcinoma.3.The low expression of FHIT in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus tissues suggesting that it may be a key tumor suppressor.4.The expression of CXCR4,HSP70 and FHIT in squamous carcinoma of the maxillary sinus have no correlation with each other, but the detection of them may also give some certain clues for diagnosis, prediction and treatment. |
