| Objective: Studies have shown that most ischemic cerebrovascular disease patients associated with artherosclerosis. In our participation in the world health organization's stroke research data shows, cerebrovascular disease incidence in significantly increased by almost every year, the rate of 9% growth rise .Therefore, to find the cause of atherosclerosis and develop targeted prevention is an urgent target to address the clinical questions. In recent years, many studies have shown that microbial infection, especially Human Cytomegalovirus, HCMV infection and activation related to atherosclerosis. HCMV infection activates the inflammatory and immune response and it plays an important role in the occurrence and development of AS, The main of this article is to study the relationship between carotid artery artherosclerosis , activated infection of HCMV and MPO .Methods:1 The investigation subjects were 84 selected patients which was complied with the conditions, all of the patients conduct ultrasound of arteria carotid, HCMV-PP65 of peripheral blood leucocyte, MPO.Compare the differences of HCMV-PP65, MPO in the patients with different kinds of plaques, further to compare the differences of MPO between PP65 positive and negative paitents.2 Ultrasound examination method: Patients take supine, head to one side, the root vascular check up by the neck, gradually upward check until checked, holds the vascular . Review and record the IMT,mainly observe whether exist atherosclerotic plaque or not, the position, size, resonance ,surface characteristic of atherosclerotic plaque.3 Detect HCMV-PP65 antigen in peripheral blood leucocyte use the method of immunohistochemical; Assaying MPO in peripheral blood use the metod of biocatalyst connected immune adsorption double antibody sandwich.4 The various plaques were grouped into 6 types on the basis of the course of disease development, kinds of pathologic changes and Hennerici classification. For the statistical convenience, the patients with soft and flat plaque were included into instability plaque group, the patients with endometrial hyperplasia and hard plaque were classified into stability plaque group.Results:1 Different plaques have different HCMV-PP65 postive rate, in the instable plaques is 56.76%,it is obviously higher than the stable ones(30.30%) (P<0.05).2 The average contents of MPO are 132.63ng/ml in HCMV-PP65 positive group and 92.55 ng/ml in negtive one. There is a significant difference between the contents of the two groups (P<0.05),The result suggests MPO levels are statistically significant after HCMV activate infection .3 The average content of MPO in plaque group is 112.09ng/ml, with 87.32ng/ml in no-plaque group, and the level of MPO is significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The average content of MPO in instable-plaque group is 146.91 ng/ml,with 73.04ng/ml in stable-plaque group, and the level of MPO of the former is also higher than that of the latter (P<0.05).The result suggests the expression of MPO differs along with the type of plaques.4 In the positive cases, the average content of MPO in plaque group is 138.34ng/ml, with 92.53 ng/ml in no-plaque group, and the level of MPO of the former is higher than that of the latter (P<0.05). The average content of MPO in instable-plaque group is170.50ng/ml, with 93.32ng/ml in stable-plaque group, and the level of MPO of the fomer is also higher than that of the latter (P<0.05). After infection of HCMV, there is a positive correlation between the expression of MPO and instability of plaque. Conclusions: In the instable plaques HCMV-PP65 postive rate is obviously higher than the stable ones. The average contents of MPO in HCMV-PP65 positive group is higher than negtive groups. In the positive cases, The average content of MPO in instable-plaque group is higher than stable-plaque group, which direction that the HCMV active infection plays an important role in the AS, HCMV active infection may promote the expression of MPO, and there is a tendency to promote plaque instability . MPO has positive correlate with HCMV and AS, and inflammatory reaction of infection of HCMV plays an important role in atherogenesis. |
