The Expression Of Toll-like Receptor 4 In The Endometrium Of Patients With IUAs

Objective:To investigate the expression of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in the endometrium of uterine cavity of patients with intrauterine adhesions.Materials and Methods:75 patients with intrauterine adhesions and 30 patients of normal uterine cavity with infertility were enrolled to Department of Gynecology of the 3rd Xiang-ya Hospital of Central South University. From September 2010 to December 2010, they were performed Hysteroscopy surgery. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the differential expression of TLR4 in 105 cases.Result:1. The strong expression rate in the endometrium of uterine cavity with IUAs and endometrium of normal uterine cavity were 36.0%, 6.7%. There were statistical differences between of them (p<0.05).2. The expression of TLR4 in endometrium of severe intrauterine adhesions was higher than the endometrium of the moderate intrauterine adhesions, and TLR4 in endometrium of the moderate intrauterine adhesions was also higher than the mild intrauterine adhesions (p<0.05).3. There was the expression of The TLR4 in the fibroblast in the endometrium of uterine cavity.Conclusion:1. There were high expressions of TLR4 in endometrium of uterine cavity with IUAs, which suggested that TLR4 may associate with IUAs.2. The study found that the expression of TLR4 in endometrium in patients with severe IUAs was higher than the TLR4 in endometrium in patients with moderate IUAs, and TLR4 of endometrium in patients with moderate IUAs was also higher than the mild IUAs, which suggested the strength of this expression was probably associated with the degree of adhesions.3. There was the expression of The TLR4 in the fibroblast in the endometrium of uterine cavity.
