Objectives:To evaluate the safety and efficiency of transurethral endoscopic treatment for chronic hematospermia caused by seminal vesiculitis.Methods:22 patients with recurrent hematospermia transrectal ultrasound found single-sided or double-sided inflammation of seminal vesicle.13 of them (42.4±14.2 years of age,13.5±10.5 months of course) underwent irrigation through the seminal tract. In the operation the mixture of dexamethasone and sensitivity antibiotics was irrigated into the seminal vesicles.Collected what was observed in the operation.9 others are as the control group (38.2±13.7 years of age. course 15±9 months) and take oral antibiotics for 2 weeks as outpatients. Collect chief complaints of hematospermia improvement, semen fructose quantitative, semen white blood cell counts, red blood cell counts and other data at 1st month,3rd months after the start of treatment. Compared the therapeutic effect differences of the two methods with SPSS 13.0 for windows.Results:1. The procedure of operation is smoothly without severe complications.76.9% patients of treatment group were more severe in the degree of hematospermia. The effectiveness was lower than control group(P< 0.05). However, the improvement of white blood cell counts and semen fructose quantitative was batter than control group(P > 0.05).2. The improvements of semen fructose quantitative, semen white blood cell counts, red blood cell counts of treatment group were much obviously than control group(P< 0.05)Conclusions:Transurethral ureteroscope treatment for chronic hematospermia and seminal vesiculitis is effective, less injury, fewer in complications, and painless in long-term follow up.
