Objective:Randomized clinical study was to compare the early results of primary total knee arthroplasty using a fixed-bearing and a Mobile-bearing prosthesis. Methods:the patients who have been diagnosed as osteoarthritis in our hospital from October 2008 to March 2009 were sequentially distributed to A group(Using fixed-bearing prosthesis, n=37) and B group(Using mobile-bearing prosthesis, n=35) at random. And record the Knee Society Score(KSS), Hospital for special surgery knee score(HSS), Western Ontario MacMaster (WOMAC), the range of motion (ROM), the postoperative complication and etc from the preoperation and afteroperation respectively in six months, one year and two years. Results:There were no significant difference between the two groups at preoperatively and postoperatively in KSS, HSS, WOMAC, ROM and the postoperative complication (P>0.05). As to clinical outcomes, the Fixed-bearing and Mobile-bearing prosthesis have no difference in this study. Conclusions:No significant differences were found in clinical results between the two prostheses.
