Objective:To compare the visual event-related potential P300 between the Han and the Uighur ethnicity patients with neurosis. Methods:97 cases of neurosis patients (inculding 48 Han and 49 Uighur ethnicity patients) were served as test group, and 92 healthy adults (inculding 45 Han and 47 Uighur ethnicity normal persons)as control group. The visual event-related potential P300 of all the pepole were determined. Results:The latencies of target N2,target P3 and the amplitudes of target P3 non-target P2 were no significant difference between the Han and Uighur ethnicity patients in both the test group and control group (all P>0.05). But the latencies of target N2,target P3 were prolonged significantly and amplitudes of target P3,non-target P2 were reduced significantly in test group compared the control group (all P <0.05). Conclusion:There are no significant differences in visual event-related potential P300 between the Han and Uighur ethnicity in neurosis patients. The visual event-related potential P300 in the test group are abnormal.
