The Research On Healthcare Supply Chain Disruption Model

Since the definition of the supply chains (SC) coming out, most research about supply chain has focused on the JIT SC or the uncertainty of the demand or supply. But after the event 9.11, because of the SC disruption, many companies have mass economical loss. So some researcher pay attention on the SC disruption, but the study mainly focuses on the manufacture, non-healthcare industry.Compared to other industry, healthcare which final customer is patient is very special. If the healthcare supply chain has disruption, the result is severe, because it may lead to the death. Life is very precious and cannot be measured by money. So study about the continuity of the healthcare supply chain is necessary.Based on the literature at home and abroad, the paper analyzes the differences and the same points between manufacturing industry and healthcare industry. And then on the basis of classical models of the manufacturing supply chain disruption, the context brings out the models of the healthcare supply chain disruption according to the character of the healthcare supply chain. At the same time, the healthcare goods in supply chain are classified into two classes, which have the different models. The final aim is to protect the disruption of healthcare supply chain, which is more reliable and robust, in order to improve the service quality.
