Clinical Research On The Urinary Retention After SCI By Fulmigating The Navel With Chinese Herbs Beneth The Moxa Cone And Comprehensive Rehabilitation Training

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a kind of disease that caused by the direct or indirect external factors,which leads to the sports, feeling and muscle dysfunction, as well as muscle tension anomalies and pathological reflex in the corresponding damaged sections.The injury level and clinical manifestations of SCI depend on the location and nature of the primary injury.Urinary retention is one of the main complications faced by the patients with SCI.The urinary retention after SCI may induce hydronephrosis, urinary tract infection and chronic renal failure at last.All the above will serious influence the quality of lives of patients with paraplegia, and is the first reason of death.Study of urinary retention after SCI is very important for the patients with better quality of lives, and the return to the society.Western medicine usually use indwelling catheter, clean catheterization and bladder function training ,which couldn't solve the question caused by the urinary retention after SCIradically ,but may cause injuries to the patients.How to treat the complications is still a difficult problem. Therefore, looking for a safe and effective solution for SCI retention problem is very important.In traditional Chinese medicine theory basis, the Fulmigating the navel with Chinese herbs beneth the moxa cone combine the characteristics of the acupoint, moxibustion and Chinese medicine together.It is a kind of TCM herbs, with simplicity of operation, definite effect and no injury to the patients,which is worthy of use in the long-term recovery. Research purpose In order to study the effectiveness of the Fulmigating the navel with Chinese herbs beneth the moxa cone with the urinary retention and prevent urinary infection after SCI,and provide a safe and effective treatment and a new method for these patients to solve the difficulty of urinary retention. Research methodsTake 40 patients that conforms to the standard from rehabilitation department ,Qilu hospital of Shandong university as the objest of study. According to the hospital stays,the patients are randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. Evalution of the clinical effect had been done after the treatment course.The bladder residual urine quantity and urinary tract infections number were observed before and after one treatment course,and analysised with statistical methods. ResultsThe bladder residual urine output and urinary tract infections of two groups have no significant meaning (P > 0.05) before treatment.After one treatment course, compared with the treatment group before treatment, the bladder residual urine output and urinary tract infections of the treatment group after treatment reduced significantly , shows significant difference (P < 0.05);while compared with the control group before treatment,that of the control group after treatment made some differences,but on significant diffenence (P>0.05).After the treatment,the bladder residual urine output and urinary tract infections of the treatment group is fewer than that of the control group,and there's significant diffenence (P<0.05).Research conclusionsFulmigating the navel with Chinese herbs beneth the moxa conecan improve the urinary retention and prevent urinary tract infections significantly and effectively,and it is a kind of therpy with simplicity of operation, definite effect and no injury to the patients,which is worthy of clinical use.
