Diabetes is a serious damage to the life and health. Research has proved that the development of diabetes is closely related with lipid metabolism, and they are cause-and-effect. So diabetes is also called "glucolipid disease".For the prevention of diabetes, People always advocate the combination therapy. Exercise therapy has become one of the basic therapies for the prevention of diabetes. The pharmacological research shows that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide is one of the most effective ingredients of Ganoderma,and it can reduce blood sugar and correct lipid metabolism.The paper investigated the effects of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide,exercise and exercise plus Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide on streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic rats on fasting blood glucose and lipid metabolism.Experimental methods: 50 healthy male Wistar rats aged 8 weeks were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups: normal control group with 8 rats, experimental group with 42 rats. Diabetes was induced by single intraperitoneal injection of STZ (50 mg/kg) to experimental group rats. The normal control group rats were injected citric acid salt buffer. After the diabetes was induced, the diabetes rats were randomized into four groups comprising of six animals in each groups: DM control group(D);DM exercise group(DS);DM GL-PS group(DG) and DM exercise plus GL-SP group (DSG).After 6 weeks, the weight gain, FBG, GSP, FINS, TC, TG, HDL, LDL, FFA contents, ISI, HBCI and LPL,HL activity were measured.Results:The method was proved practical to establish the Wistar rats model into diabetic characteristics by injected with STZ. After experiment, compared with the DM control group, the change of indexes was following:â‘ The GSP,TC,TG,FFA contents of DS groups were lower(P<0.05),and FBG contents were very lower(P<0.01),while Ins, HBCI, LPL contents significantly highter(P<0.05)and ISI were very highter (P<0.01).â‘¡The TC,LDL,FFA contents of DG groups were significantly lower(P<0.05),and FBG,GSP contents were very lower(P<0.01),while FINS,HBCI contents significantly highter(P<0.05)and ISI were very highter(P<0.01).â‘¢The FBG,GSP,TC,TG,LDL,FFA contents of DSG groups were very lower(P<0.01),and HL activity were significantly lower(P<0.05),while FINS,LPL contents ,ISI,HBCI very highter(P<0.01)and HDL were significantly highter(P<0.05). Therefore, it was easy to see, the exercise plus Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide could more effectively control blood sugar and regulate lipid metabolism of diabetes than simple exercise or Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide.Conclusion:1) The Wistar rats were modeled into diabetes mellitus by single intraperitoneal injection of STZ (50 mg/kg),It is similar to human being.2) Rational exercise could improve the diabetic rats blood glucose and lipid metabolism and could reduce the contents of blood lipid and FFA, promote insulin secretion.3) Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides could lower blood sugar, promote the islet cells repair and insulin secretion, lowering blood lipid and FFA, and increase the LPL activity.4) Rational exercise plus Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide could more effectively control blood sugar and regulate lipid metabolism of diabetes.And its have synergy effect.5)The blood sugar and lipid metabolism of diabetic rats has significant correlation.
