Objective:To explore effectiveness of comprehensive psychotherapy in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Methods:Ten DSM-IV ADHD children were divided into two groups.They were given four weeks trainings.Their parents were given 4 weekly trainings. Before and after the intervention,A series of neumpsychological tests,such as Numher Cancellation Test, Stroop Test, ADHDDS-P were completed.Results:After the intervention, children's performance on Stroop Test had statistically significan improvement.Total numbers of symptoms, symptoms of ADHD, symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity declined significantly.Family pressure was alleviated significantly. Eighty nine percent of the parents were satisfied with the intervention, and 67% were thought its very useful.Conclusion:The comprehensive psychotherapy could be applicable in current social status,and can alleviate both ADHD symptoms and family pressure.
