Development Of The Bone Harvest Chamber

Objective:(1)We create the bone harvest chamber(BHC), then verify the possibility that if it can be imbedded into the bones of the Guizhou minipig and used repeatedly in the same minipig. Methods:(1) We designed and made the BHC according to the anatomical data of the humerus and femur of GuiZhou minipigs. (2)Two Guizhou minipig were used. The BHC which were loaded the bone graft materials were imbedded into humeral and femoral metaphysis of the Guizhou minipigs. Checked them by imaging detection at postoperative 2 weeks,and harvested chambers at postoperative 4 weeks while imbeded new chambers. Results:1,The dimension of the BHC is suitable.2,BHC can be imbeded into the bones of the Guizhou minipig securely and used repeatedly in the same minipig. Conclusion: BHC can be loaded kinds of bone graft materials and can be imbeded into the bones of the Guizhou minipig. The histocompatibility of the BHC is very well, which can be used repeatedly, and the operation is simple.
