Induction Of Apoptosis By LAAO In Cell A549 Of Human Lung Cancer

Objective:To investigate the effects of LAAO on cell A549 proliaferation and apoptosis.Methods:Cellular morphology changes were observed by microscope.The pro-liferation inhibitory rate was evaluated by MTT assay. The cell apoptosis index was deter-mined by TUNEL method.Results:A549 cells were treated with LAAO at different con-centrations. It could significantly inhibit the proliferation of A549 cells in a dose-time-dependent manner;Typical morphological features of apoptotic cells were also detected by TUNEL staining. The apoptosis changes could be seen clearly under microscope including the apearance of round cells or pieces of cells and nucleus. With the increase in the con-centration of LAAO and the duration of administration, the number of TUNEL-positive cells was significantly increased (all P<0.05),which showed that LAAO could induce apoptosis in dose-dependent and time-dependent manner.Conclusion:LAAO can inhibit the prolife ra-tion and induce apoptosis of A549 cells in dose-dependent and time-dependent manner.
