| Purpose:The postoperative visual function and quality was compared after 3 different multifocal intraocular lens-REZOOM (refractive multifocal intraocular lens), Acri.Lisa 366D (refractive-diffractive multifocal intraocular lens hybrid) and Tecnis ZMA00 (all optical diffraction type of multifocal intraocular lens)-implanted。Methods:Patients who underwent cataract phacoemulsification and multifocal intraocular lens implantation in cataract center in Tianjin Eye Hospital were selected during September 2008 to March 2010. REZOOM (NXG1, AMO Inc.) 15 eyes of 11 persons, Acri.Lisa 366D (ZEISS Inc.) 13 eyes of 10 persons, Tecnis ZMA00 (AMO Inc.) 12 eyes of 8 persons, their average age was:66.44±10.29 years,61.71 years±6.96, and 65±12.22 years. More than 1 month after surgery were followed up for review, Questionnaires of visual quality, Colenbrander Mixed Contrast Card Set vision test cards were used to measure high/low contrast conditions, under the best corrected distance vision in near vision. Then iTrace visual function analyzer checks was used to drawn 5,10,15,20,25, and 30cpd for modulation transfer function (MTF) and measure the intraocular aberrations as well as pupil diameter. MTF of three kinds of intraocular lens was analyzed by iTrace3.12 software in the pupil diameter of 4mm.Results:The best corrected distance visual acuity of 3 groups:REZOOM Group: 1.073±0.139, Acri.Lisa 366D Group:1.212±0.232, Tecnis ZMA00 Group:1.057±0.09, There was no statistically significant among these three groups. In high/low contrast conditions, the best corrected intermediate visual acuity was:REZOOM group:0.708±0.228 and 0.435±0.152, Acri.Lisa 366D group:0.695±0.22 and 0.384±0.068 Tecnis ZMA00 Group:0.684±0.322 and 0.357±0.086, among 3 group in the high-contrast conditions, the difference was statistically significant, in low-contrast conditions, the difference was not statistically significant. In the high/ low contrast conditions, the best distance corrected near visual acuity was: REZOOM group:0.519±0.142 and 0.338±0.073, Acri.Lisa 366D group:0.803±0.099 and 0.405±0.066, Tecnis ZMA00 group:0.724±0.135 and 0.383±0.113,3 group in the high-contrast conditions, the difference was statistically significant, in low-contrast conditions, the difference was not statistically significant. Modulation transfer function of Group 5 in comparison 4mm pupil diameters in 5/10/15/20 cpd the difference was statistically significant. The three kinds of multifocal intraocular lens cases are part of the glare and halos occur, but there is no significant impact on daily life. Almost all patients satisfied by implantation of multifocal intraocular lens.Conclusion:The difference in the far visual acuity after surgery of 3 groups is not outstanding, in the middle distance vision and near vision, also have better performance, but also reflects a significant difference. The postoperative visual symptoms such as glare, halos and other three kinds of lens performance have some differences, but overall can still be. In concern of modulation transfer function of intraocular lens, aspheric multifocal intraocular lens Acri.Lisa 366D and Tecnis ZMA00 outperformed the spherical design of the REZOOM. |
