The Clinical Effect Of Su Fei He Ji With GP Scheme In Treatment Of Advanced Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Object:Using the international quality of life questionnaire to evaluate the effect of su fei he ji and chemotherapy with GP scheme on quality of life (QOL) of patients with advanced non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). And referred to the traditional evaluating indexes of clinical efficiency (the cancer objective efficacy, clinical symptom amelioration, the level of tumor markers,Karnofsky score, body weight and chemotherapy poisonous side reaction).Thereby to provide the clinical evidence to spread using su fei he ji and make a basis of developing new anti-tumor medicine.Methods:40 patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly assigned into 2 groups. The 20 cases in the combined treated group were given su fei he ji and chemotherapy with GP scheme, and the 20 cases in control group were treated with chemotherapy with GP scheme only.28 days is a treatment course. They were observed for two treatment courses with QOL estimated by EORTC QLQ-C43 questionnaire and FACT-L questionnaire, the two international questionnaires as the tools for measurement, and referred to the traditional evaluating indexes of clinical efficiency.Results:QOL in the combined treated group was improved after treatment with the improvement of in all domains, while it in the control group deprived partially. The trail group displayed more effective lightening the clinical symptoms, enhancing the quality of life and the physical strength (KPS score), reducing the level of tumor marker, increasing and stabilizing the body weight and reducing the chemotherapy poisonous side reaction. Showing significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). While comparing the cancer objective efficacy, the disease control rate (CR+PR+SD)in the 2 groups was 95% and 85%,there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:In this research su fei he ji can improve QOL of patients with advanced NSCLC, lighten the clinical symptoms, enhance the physical strength (KPS score), reduce the level of tumor marker, increase and stabilize the body weight. There is few adverse effect of su fei he ji,which deserve spreading its clinical application.
