Objectives: To summarize the treatment of CEA patients in recent years from the second clinical institution of Xin Jiang medical university and study the therapeutic effect of CEA and Microsurgicalcarotid Endarterectomy. Materials and Methods: 46 patients of CEA who were treated in our department during the period of 2002.1-2009.9 were chosen to retrospective analysis. To observe beneficial effects of CEA from the complications and the cumulative incidence of death, stroke, within 30 days and 6 months after the surgical intervention and severe restenosis at 30days and 6 months after operation. We divided patients in different group by use microsurgery or not. Contrastive analysis different group'effects. Results: 46 patients of CEA, Two patients'operation in two side, 48 cases of operation finish successfully. The complication related to the surgery included one cases of cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome(2.1%), three cases of peripheral nerves injurie(s6.3%), three cases of local hematoma(6.3%), one case of cadiovascular accident(2.1%), four cases of pulmonary infection(8.3%). Peroperative period have no death case, One case have stork in 30 days after operation(2.1%), One case restenosis in 30 days(2.1%), Two cases have stork in six months after operation(4.2%). One case restenosis in six months(2.1%). Tradition operation group compare with microoperation group have no statistical significance in common information, two guoups is balance, two groups have no evident different about peripheral nerves injuries, restenosis and the incidence of stork after operation(Pï¹¥0.05).Conclusions: Carotid endarterectomy is a effective way to treat carotid artery stenosis and prevent stork. Tradition operation group have no evident different about peripheral nerves injuries, restenosis and the incidence of stork compare with microoperation group, at present there have no evidence prove tradition operation group and microoperation group have different in peripheral nerves injuries, restenosis and the incidence of stork.
