Objective:To analyse the strength of postoperative recurrence risk factors in spinal tuberculosis. Methods:The 486 patients who received surgery from January 1998 to December 2007 was followed-up for 1 to 3 years are divided into two groups:group 1: Patients was treated during the period 1998-2002. we compare the clinical data (such as the nutrition, the extent of lesions, whether surgical to be clear, whether formal drug therapy, whether strictly braked after surgery) of 34 relapse cases with 95 Non-recurrent cases at the same time. group 2:Patients were treated during the period 2003-2007. We compare the clinical data of 27 relapse cases with 330 Non-recurrent cases at the same time. At last, we analyse the strength of postoperative recurrence factors in spinal tuberculosis. Results:In group 1, whether strictly braked after surgery is the strongest risk factor. In group 2, whether formal drug therapy is the strongest risk factor. Conclusion: we should strengthen drug therapy, and then, the postoperative recurrence of spinal tuberculosis could be controlled.
