THE FIRST PART: THE INFLUENCING FACTORS OF A COMMUNITY-BASED METHADONE MAINTENANCE TREATMENT AMONG HEROIN ADDICTS OF CHONGQINGObjective: To explore the loss of the main factors and awareness of AIDS prevention knowledge in a community-based methadone maintenance treatment(MMT) among heroin addicts in Chongqing,in order to play a better comprehensive role of MMT clinics,and provide basis for making scientific stategies of improving the compliance of methadone maintenance treatment.Methods: A study was conducted in MMT clinics.Both quantitative and qualitative methods were applied.Various stakeholders including treatment services users, providers and supervisors were investigated.Quantitative study: Purposive sampling method used in the investigation,300 patients of three MMT clinic in Chongqing were interviewed with structured questionnaire.These questionnaire data were doubled entered into database of Epidata3.1 software.In data analysis,SAS8.1 software was applied.Qualitative interview: In-depth interviews were carried for 7 patients and interviews with key individuals included three doctors,one nurse and three clinic managers.Using MAXqda,the framework method was applied to analyze qualitative data from both in-depth interviews and interviews with key individuals.Results: The study showed that the main factors influencing methadone maintenance treatment associated with education,drug abuse age,retention on MMT and frequency communication with heroin user friends.Many factors affect the retention rate of maintenance treatment,include patients,medical staff services quality and management attention of supervisors.This is the interactions between different stakeholders.Conclusion: Considered the role of participants from MMT, docters and managers, reasonable analysis of methadone maintenance treatment status and existing problems must be impled.Take effective measures and comprehensive intervention to improve the effectiveness of methadone maintenance treatment.THE SECOND PART: THE IMPACT OF IMMUNE FUNCTION IN A COMMUNITY-BASED METHADONE MAINTENANCE TREATMENT AMONG HEROIN ADDICTS OF CHONGQINGObjective: Acquaint the level of immunity of heroin addictors and learn more about personnel change level of taking methadone maintenance treatment after a period of time.Explore the relationship between therapy time and changes in immune function,to provide basis for policies and measures to protect drug users and promote health.Methods: Choose heroin addictors and patients receiving maintenance treatment for a certain time to take immune status questionnaire,compared with normal control subjects.Immune function was detected by immunohistochemistry(SAP) in detection of T lymphocyte subsets,while using ELISA to detect serum immunoglobulinG,M.These questionnaire data were doubled entered into database of Epidata3.1 software.In data analysis,SAS8.1 software was applied.Results: Through the immune function of questionnaire survey and laboratory test we found that after a period of treatment immune function index value in the treatment group was close to the normal control group and immune function can be recovered to some degree.Compared with addicts,Various aspects of body function has improved but was still lower than the standard normal population.There is still a gap.Conclusion: Strengthen psychological counseling,conduct comprehensive interventions for addicts.Continue to adhere to long-term treatment,out of the shadow of drugs,improve irregular lifestyle,and actively cooperate with the treatment health lifestyle to restore physical health of individuals. |
