The Research On The Application Values Of Anhui Folk Decorative Patterns

Folk art carries the aesthetic characteristics of a nation's regional culture, reflects a nation's living style and life attitude,thus it is a history form with unique artistic expression and organization. Folk art is also the reflection of creative consciousness,creative ability and artistic spirits of different times.Anhui Province is a place with long cultural tradition and profound culture foundation;it has been endowed with kinds of folk arts, among which sorts of tangible and intangible cultural heritages are of vital theoretical and application values.Decorative pattern is a decorative art and is the combination of utility and decoration. It processes the nature images to endow them with new appearances,shapes and colors so as to fit aesthetic.Anhui folk decorative pattern is a symbolic form using visual images to convey the folk culture;it is the fruit of laborers'collective wisdom as for folk culture,the sense of the folk culture,and aesthetic consciousness.Folk art is rich in decorative patterns, it reflects and presents certain national psychology and personality and at the same time imposes some influence upon their formation and development.So it is the source and base of modern artistic design and innovation and is of crucial importance to the development of contemporary culture and modern artistic design.Against the major background of nationalization and localization,it plays an important role in preserving, passing down, exploring and utilizing the unique local artistic resources.The main purpose of this paper is,through the research on the aesthetic characteristics and application values of several typical decorative patterns like Huizhou art of carving, Wuhu iron picture,Huainan Shouzhou kiln ceramics,and Fuyang paper cutting, etc,try to define some decorative patterns which carry unique Anhui local features so as to preserve and pass down these precious artistic resources.The paper has employed several research methods,they are:the combination of theory and field survey;the combination of bibliographic references and market research;the combination of internet information and investigation;the combination of historical survey and concrete analysis;the combination of grasping as a whole and case study; the combination of scientific analysis and artistic creation; the combination of objective evidence and creativity and so on.Therefore, this paper has a distinguishing local favor. It has applied its research findings as for the Anhui folk decorative patterns to the modern design and has provided a unique national design language for the modern art design, which will surely promote the development of design this subject and industry. This paper is also devoted to combining traditional culture with modern design creation which will richen the connotations and recourses of modern design. In addition, the research on the application values of Anhui folk decorative patterns will be vital in preserving and passing down the traditional folk cultures.It has drawn more people's attention, not only some experts or fans,but also people from other fields who actively join in persevering native cultures.All these will contribute to the preservation of artistic resources.
