Beofer1970's, prospective memory were unknown, but it is boiling with ideas and findings recent years. This research discussed the question of how task important effects and task type affected prospective memory. There are no many researches about cognitive and important task and they're developing now, mostly in older People. This paper employed explored the Elnstein and McDaniel'(1990) paradigm and the different prospective memory task importance effects. And we also probe how cognitive style affected prospective memory. This research included two experiments following the experimental paradigm. Experiment 1 focused on the effect of FDI and type of Prom on Prom, the design of the experiment was a 2 (cognitive style:F1; FD)×2 (type of Prom:time-based:event-based) mixed factorial that included the between-subjects variables of FDI and the within-subject variable of type of Prom; Experiment 2 explored different prospective memory task importance effect. The design of the experiment was a 3 (age:primary school; junior middle school; senior middle school) X 2 (level of task:unimportant; more important)×2 (type of Prom:time-based:event-based) mixed factorial design that included the between subjects variables of type of prospective memory.1. The performance of event-based Prom significantly better than the time-based Prom;2. Field-independent subjects performed significantly better than Field-dependent subjects;3. There is no significant correlation among Primary schools students, junior middle school, subtends and senior middle school students, and event-based prospective memory task performance was better than time-based prospective memory task.
