This thesis will take excitement point presented in the process of drama and opera performance as the study object, and it firstly discusses the objective reasons why the emotional elements exist in drama and opera. Simultaneously, through the analysis to the influence of Chinese literators'emotions on Traditional Chinese literary emotions and the influence of traditional literature on the creation of drama and opera, it can be drawn the conclusion that emotional elements are indispensable part in the drama-creation and opera-creation. And then the thesis elaborates the connotation of excitement point in drama and opera performance, and meanwhile the principles and the process of its formation are clearly explained."Excitement Point"lies in the beginning of the creation and ends in the ending of the creation. Simply speaking, excitement point starts from the initial creation period of drama and ends in the period when actors and audience together involve in the drama. In a word,"excitement point"is produced by collecting all the elements that affect the performance. A good understanding of excitement point can pave the way for better artistic representation and better artistic creation. This thesis will focus on the elements which influence excitement point, and the three main elements including role experience, stage action and sound will be further interpreted. At the last part of the thesis, it mainly discusses excitement representation and its effect on the development of drama.
