Decorative Features Of Lacquer Paintings

In the light of graduation works, this paper analyzes the decorative features of lacquer paintings in different times. It mainly expounds the writer's awareness and understanding of traditional decorative style, skills and artistic language of lacquer art. Traditional lacquer containers play an inspirative role in the development of modern lacquer paintings. The Chinese lacquer paintings come from ancient lacquer containers. Therefore lacquer painting has its own artistic language which is different from that of other kinds of paintings. Nowdays art is diversified, so the development of modern lacquer painting requires to take in the essence of modern art on the basis of inheriting traditional art so as to conform to the requirements of the modern aesthetics. Not being limited to application functions any more, modern lacquer painting is not attached to containers. It is a new sort of painting. To understand the artistic charm of the contemporary lacquer painting, one must make deep understanding of lacquer art and artistic development of decoration.
