Book Design Practice And Reflection

With years of research on Arts and Design, the author has devoted both his original idea on book decoration and inspiration from prestigious master designers to the book design of"Graduate Study Trilogy". This paper introduces its unique design and experience gained from the book decoration of"Graduate Study Trilogy". It employs the following design methods: tracing ways from the form of modern design to traditional book decoration, developing modern graphic design concepts on the basis of traditional book decoration as well as furthering the visualization of reading in book design to the association among contents, all of which are based on modern design concepts. In addition, a deliberate and comprehensive analysis of the theory drawn from the process of graduation design practice has also been presented in the paper.
