Cao Wenxuan is a scholarly writer, while he was writing the novel, he practiced his academic point of view. He has a large number of readers because of the strong classical orientation of his novels. This paper will analyze the classical tendencies of Cao Wenxuan's no vies from two aspects which are the emotion and the art.In the emotional aspects, First of all, his works are full of longing for the good of humanity.Through a series of stories, Cao paints lots of beautiful pictures to the reader full of family, friendship and love of, and these stories show us the noble human nature; Second, Cao has a different sense of the tragedy, there are lots of suffering in his novels,and he shows a rational and moderate emotion; Third, Cao is not pedantic in his classical described, he is also concerning about modern man's existence.In the arts, First of all, the fact hard to ignore is that Cao uses a large number of sentences to describe a beautiful world for readers, while he uses colors well; Secondly, the rich and beautiful Images are the largest classical beauty of Cao's novels, whether it is the ubiquitous "water" image, or the animals and plants Images, all gave readers a sense of classical charm; Third, the structure of Cao Wenxuan's novels is sophisticated and classical.
