The Initial Exploration Of Robinson Story

The history fact of Robinson story was firstly recorded in Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe. The germ for the book seems to have come from the experiences of an actual marooned sailor,the Scotsman Alexander Selkirk(1676-1721),who has lived in a deserted island more than 4 years.Defoe himself may also had met Selkirk,but the sailor's story provided only the bare starting point.It has been nearly 300 years from the book firstly been edited,and many rewrote books derived from it,such as Johann David Wyss's The Swiss Family Robinson,Catherine Parr Trail's Canada Robinson and Robinson Outdoor Survival Adventure by Piao Jingzhu of South Korea,then Robison Crusoe become a sign of the explorer.There also Rex Gordon's Robinson Crusoe on Mars, in the book, Crusoe even has taken on the spaceship. Out adverture---disaster---survival---rescue is a clear clue among these books,and I think this similar narrative structure comes from Defoe's famous book but their meaning is different and valuable.It's rarely to see so many rewrite books in world literature history.I only want to choose the most two famous books among these ones for my thesis cause my limited knowledge.Michel Tournier's Friday on the Pacific Oceaon has won the novel prize of France Collegue in 1967.J.M.Coetzee won the Nobel Literature Prize in 2003,his Foe is a deconstruction text of Defoe's Robinson Crusoe.l want to analyse these three novels accroding to the view of comparative literature themology.I found the writers of afterward rewrote Defoe's novel mainly through three channels,such as sea drifting and discourse strategies,religion belief and mysticism and human in the deserted island.I only want to konw that why these writers chose the similar story, the special narrative way and the reason and significance of this.All works is the reflection of ideology.We could see the sprit of the time emerged in Robinson Crusoe himeself.
