Changdao County, affiliated Jiaodong peninsula is located in Yantai of Shandong Province, is the only insular country of Shandong Province. Changdao(Long Island) which is also known as Miaodao archipelago, runs through the Bohai Strait and lives in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea interchange.The rhythmical work song sung by fisherman in Changdao, originated from Tuoji Island in Changdao fishing zone has a history of more than three thousand years, the song was created by the fisherman when they finishing on the sea in the sailing ships times. Ancient sailing ship was driven by wind and human, so the rhythmical work song sung by fisherman in Changdao with the main form of bawling, shouting, precenting and chorus has gradually become the main leading song, it has many characters such as simple lyrics, rough tone, uninhibited emotions and strong local flavor. The rhythmical work song is not only a command but also it can turns into productivity in finishing, because its music features are limited by labour intensity, this made the song was filled with cohesion, centripetal force and appeal. The song fully reflected the power of union and courage, and showed fisherman's spirit of mutual help and conquer the nature, which made it an important part of oceans culture as well as valuable in study the history , culture and science.
