Along with the rapid development of Chinese economy and the further reform in Chinese education system, the Chinese conception of education are changing at present ,the people getting to realize the problem of the theory and practice of teaching. Because Space ability being derived from life and practice, it has a close connection with the human life. Being one basic ingredient of space ability, one yard stick to measure space ability and an important task in the field of spatial intelligence mental rotation is attracting more and more attention presently. This thesis focuses on discussion of what different reactions will be produced between the female students and the male students while the junior middle school students are taken as subjects and experiencing three researches ----each of them will expose to the subjects with different materials, different mental rotation angel and material direction.First, taking junior middle school 120 students (Grade7,8,9) as the subject matter, this section will employ the mixed experimental design 4 (Rotation Angle:0°,90°,180°and 270°)×2 (Material Direction: positive image and mirror image)×2 (Gender: male and female) to investigate whether gender differences are existed in teenagers'reaction time of mental rotation when letters act as the material, and further discuss the relevance between the material direction, rotation Angle and gender. Then, taking junior middle school 120 students (Grade7,8,9) as the subject matter, this section will employ the mixed experimental design4 (Rotation Angle:0°,90°,180°and 270°)×2 (Material Direction: positive image and mirror image)×2 (Gender: male and female) to investigate whether gender differences are existed in teenagers'reaction time of mental rotation when irregular polygon acts as the material, and further discuss the relevance between the material direction, rotation Angle and gender. At last, taking junior middle school 120 students (Grade7,8,9) as the subject matter, this section will employ the mixed experimental design 4 (Rotation Angle:0°,90°,180°and 270°)×2 (Material Direction: positive image and mirror image)×2 (Gender: male and female) to investigate whether gender differences are existed in teenagers'reaction time of mental rotation when 3D cube acts as the material, and further discuss the relevance between the material direction, rotation Angle and gender. The following conclusions are drawn by the above three researches:(1)While being exposed the different materials --letters, irregular polygons and 3D cube, the female students and male students have apparent different reactions in the reaction time of mental rotation .The male students are faster than the female students.(2)The female students and male students have no apparent different reactions in the reaction accuracy of psychological rotation.(3)The change of material direction and rotation angel will bring apparent reaction differences between different sexes. Specifically, when the material direction is positive image, at the angle of 0°,90°,180 and 270°,the reaction time of the male students mental rotation is obviously shorter than the female students. However, while the material direction is mirror image, at the angle of 0°,90°,180 and 270°,the reaction time of the male students psychological rotation is still much shorter than the female students.(4)At the angle of 0°,90°,180 and 270°, male students and female students from junior middle school have obvious difference in the material direction. While male students and female students subjects are exposed to both positive image and mirror image, the reaction time of male students psychological reaction is much faster than the female students.
