Analysis And Comparison On Noun Quasi-affix Denoting Person "X Shou", "X Zhe" And "X Yuan"

Problems of affix and quasi-affix arouse scholars'wide attentions early, but the study of noun quasi-affix denoting person such as the"X Shou","X Zhe"and"X Yuan"is very insufficient, especially for the"X Shou"and"X Yuan". Many aspects need to be studied in a further way.This article using theories of modern Chinese vocabulary and grammar synthetically, basing on existing research results, paying attention to the combination of micro and macro, the combination of description and explanation, the combination of synchrony times and diachrony times, the combination of quantitative studies and qualitative studies, investigates and compares grammaticalization processes of the"X Shou","X Zhe"and"X Yuan"systematically, developing trends and usage, and gives more sufficient explanations for some causes of above problems. Except the preface and conclusion, the main body of this article is divided into two parts:Part I firstly studies and compares grammaticalization processes of the"X Shou","X Zhe"and"X Yuan". Secondly, we make detailed description and comparison on their development and changes according to three stages of modern Chinese and reveal causes of their development and changes from the society, psychology and language.Part II, basing on the synchrony times plane, we discuss the use and similarity and dissimilarity of the"X Shou","X Zhe"and"X Yuan"from the morphology, semantics and pragmatics. The morphology aspect mainly includes four angles such as the syllable structure of"X", the condition of part of speech of"X", the capacity of the phrase to word, the combination model with other affix (or quasi-affix). The semantics aspect mainly studies the limit condition of the semantics and emotional color, the grammaticalization degree of the semantics, the relativity of the semantics, the generalization, specialization and inclining to one side of the semantics. The pragmatics aspect mainly explores their distribution and selection for the style, and causes of the selectionThrough the above research, we not only have a clear and overall understanding on the development and use of the"X Shou","X Zhe"and"X Yuan", but also intensify our understanding on the whole affix or quasi-affix to a certain extent.
