Social Transformation And The Reconstruction Of People's Spiritual Home

ABSTRACT:The basic meaning and social values of spiritual home are first introduced in this paper. "Spiritual home", from a cognitive perspective, is the subjective perception of cognitive objects;from a sociological perspective is a social value system, with the characteristics of national identity, value orientation, and social development unity. Meanwhile, it can actively guide the harmonious development between people and nature, man and society, as well as man himself;The second chapter of this paper describes the theoretical basis of spiritual home construction and the doctrine of comprehensive development of human beings. This part discusses the comprehensive development of human meanings, namely, intelligence and physical development, activities capacity development, moral character development, and the development of emotion, will, and personality. This chapter also discusses the conditions of comprehensive development of man, which include the fundamental condition of social productivity, the construction of public ownership of the means of production, the development of social division, education system and the increasingly close contact in the world. On this basis, this paper further explores the practical significance which the comprehensive development of human beings has on the construction of spiritual home, namely the spiritual home reflects the essential requirements of comprehensive development of human beingsThe third part, through the reflection of reality, mainly illustrates the loss of people's spiritual home in social transformation and the impact social transformation puts on people's spiritual home. The loss of people's spiritual home includes unharmonious relationship between man and nature, unbalanced development between human and society, and incomprehensive personal development. This paper further explains the reasons for people's loss of spiritual home from the theoretical and practical perspectives in social transformation.In the fourth part, the paper gives some reasonable suggestions on the reconstruction of spiritual home in social transformation, which is realizing the unity of humanistic spirit and scientific spirit on the basis of promoting the cultural identity of the Chinese nation. The means are to develop the productive forces as basis, to improve the social system as protection, to guide the development of education. We should adhere to sustainable development, with the purpose of achieving harmonious interpersonal relationship and promoting harmony and unity between human and society, then achieving comprehensive human development.In short, in order to build a mutual spiritual home of Chinese nation, we must innovate and break through on the basis of learning from the inheritance, better combing traditional culture, the essence of foreign culture, and Marxism. Basing on the new practice, we should keep innovating to build the spiritual home of the Chinese Nation.
