Joyce Carol Oates is a significant woman writer in contemporary American literature. Compared with thriving studies in the western countries, studies in China are being long postponed. This paper based on intensive reading method discusses the art of dialogue in Wonderland with the help of Bakhtin's dialogue theory. The whole paper includes six chapters. The first chapter summarizes the academic studies of Oates home and aboard and points out the necessity of this research. The second chapter analyzes the dialogue—relationship among characters. Studies the differences through gender and intergeneration dialogue. The text of inside and outside hero plus the plot equals the characteristic of structure. Then the spirit of the dialogue extends to the cultural level, the patriotic complex is expressed. The third chapter is mainly about the dialogue of the character and oneself. The anxious hero with strong self-consciousness form double-self. The inside conversational monologue becomes double-voicedness of discourse. Then the author pointes out that the potential identity crisis is the source of human's anxiety and meanwhile the pursuit of self identity is unfinished. The fourth chapter deals with the establishment of dialogue-relationship, the dialogue scene and the ways to fulfill dialogues. Based on the consciousness, JCO established the special dialogue-relationship between the hero and the world and the hero with himself. The time, the space and experience of the author form "Trinity". Life experiences permeate into the characters' consciousness which produces the textual reality. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this paper.
