Princess have the dual characteristics of royal noble and ordinary women as the special female in the history. With the deepening of the research of female culture, the research results of the princess of Song Dynasty and Tang Dynasty are already very fruitful. This paper try to perform an omni-directional comparative analysis of princess of Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty, and make a comparative study separately from character, marriage and family, politics. Therefore this paper remedies defects of separate research, making two niles intersect to obtain the relatively comprehensive research achievements. Meanwhile, this paper comprehensively analyses the reasons of princess in the song dynasty not to intervention in politics. The Song Dynasty conducted a series of restrictions and constraint from the political system and measures to princess. This paper explains in detail the restrictions and constraint measures, and analyzes and explores the profound effect of these measures on the current dynasty and the future generations, which have a certain significance to the study of the Song princess politics and clan politics.
