Einstein is the founder of modern physics. Regarded as the most outstanding figure of the 20th century, Einstein has more humanistic spirit compared with some litterateurs and thinkers in his time. Domestic academic researches mainly focus on Einstein's humanistic spirit from the perspectives of truth, goodness, beauty and freedom, and few are made from the perspectives of Einstein's intellectual responsibilities and his literary ideas. With Wang Yuanhua's views on humanistic spirit, this thesis makes a comprehensive analysis on Einstein's intellectual role and his literary views.Chapter One touches upon Einstein's persistent quest for genuine knowledge. It unveils Einstein's Science Pursuit by introducing and analyzing Einstein's wheel—and—deal spirit and self-reflective spirit.Chapter Two analyzes Einstein's intellectual role. His literary spirit is reflected from his deep concern about individual all-round development, disadvantage groups such as the Jews, the Blacks and the Orientals, the development of human civilization and supranational organizations。Chapter Three examines Einstein's literary ideas and literary preferences through Wang Yuanhua's literary views. It comes to a conclusion that literary ideas and literary preferences are a humanistic solicitude in nature.Chapter Four answers the proposition that Einstein is the scientist who has greatest humanistic spirit in the 20th century by analyzing Wang Yuanhua's preference to scientists. This thesis, on one hand, is expected to outline Einstein's humanistic spirit, and on the other hand, is supposed to unearth Einstein's rich connotation of Einstein's humanistic spirit from the perspectives of his intellectual responsibilities and literary ideas.Einstein's life experiences and ideas indicate that his humanistic spirit is idealistc and sensible, full of sensibility, deep thoughts, and humanistic ideal.
