the vulgar materialism appeared in the 19th century in Western Europe, its main representatives are German doctor and philosopher Ludwig Buchner, Holland physiologist and philosopher Jacob Moleschott, as well as Switzerland naturalist Carl Vogt and so on. Because of this comparison,this school is understood the school which equates the material and consciousness,and therefore has obtained the name of vulgar materialism. Marx, Engels, Lenin basically hold the denial and the critique manner to the vulgar materialism.
