He has lots of Books of his own, for example, "The Record of two Wang", "The Judgement of Character", "Calligraphy Conference", "The Essay of Character", "The Essay about Six Forms of Character", and so on. His literary work is detailed and extensive, no one can exceed him in Tang Dynasty. "The Judgement of Character", which is a complete and systematic book about the history of character, is the most influence among all his books. Compared with other character Esthetician, only a few person research "The Judgement of Character", so I try to study the Aesthetics of "The Judgement of Character".The Full-text contains three parts. They are introduction, main tenet and conclusion.Introduction mainly introduces Zhang Huaiguan's birth and death years, birthplace, background, and the reason of write this book.The main tenet will illuminate "The Judgement of Character" rom these aspects respectively:The first part is Zhang Huaiguan thought the Aesthetic Style of "The Judgement of Character" is "Powerful and Sublime". He thought if a character is "Powerful and Sublime", it would be thorough and capacious.The second part is about several aesthetic categories Under the influence of "Powerful and Sublime":"Fengshen Guqi" in "The Judgement of Character". Zhang Huaiguan introduces the Cultural Origins of "Fengshen Guqi", and the contact with "Powerful and Sublime". Zhang Huaiguan specially emphasis on the character creation of contaction in "Fengshen Guqi" and "Powerful and Sublime", and there are commons in "Fengshen Guqi" and "Powerful and Sublime".Zhang Huaiguan thought "Powerful and Sublime" affected his "God, wonderful, can" judge framework. In this part, the author's firstly introduce oral framework of"God, wonderful, can". Then the author introduced the effect that the framework brought.In the third part, the author told us the reason he praised "Powerful and Sublime" highly. The main reason for praising highly of "Powerful and Sublime" is that the author liked Cursive best. Cursive is the most expressive in all the character. At the same time, Zhang Huaiguan thought Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi were the best in writing Cursive, and their Calligraphy is fully reflected the style of "Powerful and Sublime". Another reason for Zhang Huaiguan praised "Powerful and Sublime" highly is that the background of Tang. In fact, arts of Tang Dynasty was all "Powerful and Sublime". As a result, Cursive performanced this style, too.In conclusion, I indicate the value and limitations of "The Judgement of Character". |
